We go directly to the Mendenhall Glacier where you can visit the glaciers visitor and observatory centers, check out the salmon in the creeks, spot a beaver and their dams, take a walk to Nugget Falls or just explore the many scenic trails around the area

A LITTLE ABOUT OUR TOURS: We will stop at anytime during the tour for you to take pictures. You might see a bear on the side of the road or lots of eagles on a tree.

Visit to the Mendenhall Glacier (up to visitor center)

Mendenhall Glacier : has an informative visitor center located at the glacier's base and still perfectly in view. The Mendenhall Glacier visitor center is fully staffed with Forest Service professionals who are happy answer any question you may have about Juneau, the Mendenhall Glacier or the local wildlife. There is a fee of $1.68 per person that we take to the glacier, that has to be collected at the end of the tour or ride. This is a fee that U.S.D.A Forest Service uses to maintain the grounds and to pay the people that provide assistance and protection at the Glacier site.
You can opt to lengthen your stay at the Mendenhall Glacier, all rates can be pro-rated as needed.

The Shrine of St. Therese
The Shrine of St. Therese: is Located 15 minutes north of Mendenhall Glacier. You will spend 30 minutes in one of the most beautiful places in Alaska. Keep your eyes peeled, there is a good chance of spotting Bears, Deer, Eagles or maybe even a Whale!
Salmon Hatchery: it will become one of the regular stops when they open to the public.
We offer several different tours which cater to the Salmon runs. Ask your operator if the season is right to see one of Alaska's most wonderful and majestic wildlife scenes. There may be a chance to see the Bears feeding along many of the wild Salmon runs.
IMPORTANT: Salmon also have a run in a small creek at the glacier which attracts Bears. The U.S. Forest Service will allow pictures to be taken; however, they have rules we MUST follow. All wildlife can be dangerous, camera flashes may aggravate or scare the Bears. Please be cautious and respectful when viewing/photographing the wildlife.
You may also see Beavers, Porcupines, Wolves, Eagles, Blue Herrons and many natural wonders while at the Mendenhall Glacier!
